Those are 30th century TV sets. You get to carry it around with you and it interfaces telepathically with your brain to make it look like a 52 inch HDTV with surround sound.

And they're not in their undies, those are their lounging-around clothes. Hell, Lydda is wearing more now than she would in her super-hero costume!
